Snatch - Blagging The Bookies

Attempted robbery of a bookmakers goes wrong, brilliant scene from Guy Ritchie's classic 2000 film SNATCH (follow up to Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels). It is a delightfully witty and funny, harsh and hard hitting, brilliant intertwining of crime and different cultures in England. Brad Pitt is excellent as off-the-rails Mickey, the Irish gypsy boxing champion. Every character is well thought through. Such as nasty, white cockney bookie, gambler & fixer 'Brick Top,' owner of the bookies. The black, hilariously big, daft, incapable robber 'Tyrone' (in clip above) and the man in the middle 'Turkish' (Jason Statham). The amazing backing track to this scene is Maceo & The Macks - Cross The Track and the music throughout is perfectly chosen. Click below for the Blu-Ray, DVD, Soundtrack and set of Lock, Stock & Snatch.

Maceo & The Macks - Cross The Tracks

One of the best tracks ever of it's genre, by Maceo Parker and his band. Maceo is a funk legend and was the saxophonist for the Godfather of Soul (James Brown) for many years. This track is featured on the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Soundtrack on the radio station "Master Sounds 98.3", the scene of the attempted robbery of the bookmakers in the brilliant film SNATCH and more albums below. Click for the Vinyl (including Soul Power '74), The JB's: Funky Good Time & Snatch Soundtrack.
